Doggy Klœb

A tunnel to lower the volume of tourism

The almost hidden entrance in a passage on Calle Casablanca marks much of the character of Doggy Klœb. Born in 2023 in the center of Torremolinos, the venue occupies a space that is literally underground, inside a tunnel and away from the most visible circuit of tourist bars. That small scale does not function as a limitation, but as a language: close dance floor, accessible DJ booth, walls loaded with details, and a feeling of refuge that fits a city accustomed to mixing tourism, nightlife freedom, and LGTBIQ+ culture.

A small house for an insistent scene

The project was driven by Berto and Nicla with a clear idea of club culture based on community, respect, and music ahead of commercial appeal. In its early years, much of the activity opted for free entry or affordable prices, a decision that helped form a base of loyal attendees before consolidating a small access fee to sustain the club and the artists' work. The limited capacity favors a direct relationship between DJs and the public: at Doggy, there is no large-room distance, but a physical conversation with the dance floor.

Programming without sounding like a coastal postcard

The musical identity moves between house, electro, techno, minimal, trance, breaks, and experimental electronics, always from an intimate and selective perspective. Its calendar has given space to formats like Cultura Club, Undergroove, Doppler Project, Dark Room, or collective showcases, alternating residents and names from the local scene with international guests. Rvbbio and Unreal Vibes appear among the artists linked to the house, within a program that prioritizes discovery over the obvious headliner.

Vinyl, objects, and belonging

The interior avoids the generic nightclub aesthetic: red and blue lights, a DJ booth with stickers, graphics, visual corners, and a decoration that is better understood with repeated visits. The club also incorporates a vinyl corner shop, accessible by reservation, and a space for second-hand pieces that extend the experience beyond dancing. That mix of dance floor, mini-shop, and meeting point explains why Doggy Klœb has become a small node of the local scene on the Costa del Sol: it does not try to compete by size, but by criteria, closeness, and community.
