The Origins of an Electronic Temple

The history of Industrial Copera begins in 1992, quickly becoming one of the undisputed benchmarks of electronic music in Andalusia and all of Spain. Originally located in the town of Armilla, very close to Granada city, the room was born with a clear avant-garde vocation, betting on sounds that at that time were still considered underground. Its industrial design, high ceilings, and dark atmosphere laid the foundations for what would soon become a true temple of techno and other electronic genres. For more than two decades in its original location, the room hosted the pioneers of the genre and saw several generations of club music lovers grow, forging an unbreakable identity based on musical quality and respect for the dance floor.

Evolution and Change of Location

In 2014, Industrial Copera closed a fundamental stage to be reborn with more strength in its current location in La Zubia, also in the metropolitan area of Granada. This move did not mean a loss of its essence, but quite the opposite: it allowed for the modernization of the facilities, the spectacular improvement of the acoustics, and the expansion of its horizons. The new venue inherited the industrial soul of the original, adding top-tier technological innovations, especially in its sound system, which is considered one of the best in southern Europe. The current venue has a large Main Room and a very popular annexed space known as El Jardín, which brings freshness and versatility to the programming, allowing for daytime and afternoon events that have had a massive reception among the local and visiting public.

Cultural Legacy and International Benchmark

Today, Industrial Copera transcends the mere label of a nightclub to be considered an authentic cultural institution. Practically all the legends of the world techno, house, and tech-house scene have passed through its booth. In addition to its powerful electronic programming, the room has always maintained a space for live concerts by rock, indie, hip hop, and fusion bands, demonstrating an enviable musical richness. After more than thirty years of uninterrupted history, overcoming crises and pandemics, the dedication of its team and the loyalty of its die-hard fans, popularly known as coperos, have consolidated this Granada venue as a European benchmark, a place where freedom, passion for sound, and artistic avant-garde continue to dance to the same beat.
