Kemistry Nightclub

An audiovisual laboratory in Himmarshee Village

An old plot associated with the urban memory of Fort Lauderdale found a second life as a high-impact electronic music venue. Kemistry Nightclub opened in 2023 in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale, within the Himmarshee Village environment, with a clear ambition: to provide the city with a room prepared for national tours of EDM, bass music, trance, house, and other dance floor languages that until then usually concentrated further south, in Miami.

Local heritage and large-format production

The project brought together figures of the Florida nightlife such as Angel Candelaria, Danny Colica, Pepe Vargas, and Carsten Gauslow, profiles linked to promotion, production, and large-format events in the south of the state. That mix explains much of the venue's identity: it does not function as a simple black box for concerts, but as a club culture platform with variable programming, table service, and special attention to the audiovisual experience. The opening also connected with the nightlife fabric of the SW 2nd Street area, reactivating a site previously occupied by the #00 Saloon.

A room designed to feel close

The main attraction of Kemistry is its intermediate scale: up to 700 people, approximately 11,500 square feet, and a distribution on two levels that allows seeing the booth from different angles without losing the feeling of a compact room. The venue combines a central dance floor, bars, VIP areas, a K-Loft outdoor area and patio, equipped kitchen, and service for private events. The aesthetic relies on thematic elements, own cocktails, and a staging that changes with each night, from bass raves to trance appointments or sessions oriented to progressive house.

RCF, 4K video, and club electronics

The musical orientation is reinforced by a 130,000 W RCF system, with HDL 50-A arrays, dual 18-inch subwoofers, and stage monitoring designed for DJs. Added to this is a 4K video screen, Kvant lasers, Chauvet Professional lighting, and a kinetic orb installation that turns the room into an immersive environment. Names like Paul van Dyk, SVDDEN DEATH, Feed Me, Ben Nicky, Goldie, Danny Tenaglia, or Infected Mushroom have passed through and are scheduled in its booth, a range that places the club among the current reference spaces for electronics in Fort Lauderdale and the South Florida scene.
