Where Bora Bora changed its skin

The sand that for decades identified the old Bora Bora changed its skin in 2023 to make way for a broader concept venue: beach, restaurant, and indoor club articulated as a single experience. The project was born in Playa d’en Bossa from the collaboration between Ushuaïa Entertainment, Alonso Marí Grupo, and Vivir Descalzo, with a renovation that replaced the aesthetic of the old beach club with a bohemian and organic language, of woods, natural fibers, earthy tones, and references to the coastal refuges of Tulum. It does not seek to erase the memory of the site, but to translate it into a contemporary and more careful formula.

From the sand to Maison Musique

The day begins facing the Mediterranean, between hammocks and beach beds with table service, and continues in Le Restaurant, the covered terrace that concentrates the gastronomic proposal and a good part of the sunset sessions. When the programming requires it, the journey ends at Maison Musique, an indoor soundproofed club reserved for nocturnal events. That physical transition—sand, table, terrace, and dance floor—defines the venue better than any single label: Playa Soleil functions at the same time as a beach club, musical restaurant, and boutique club, with VIP areas and a more intimate scale than that of the island's large superclubs.

House open to the Mediterranean

Its musical identity relies mainly on house and its ramifications: deep house, melodic house, tech house, minimal, and afro house. The first season placed residencies in the venue such as RUMORS by Guy Gerber, All I Need by Andrea Oliva, and Palmarama, in addition to performances by Luciano and other names linked to the Ibizan scene. The cultural importance lies in how those brands are integrated into a stable physical space: the outdoor dance floor coexists with the restaurant and, after 11:00 PM on marked nights, the energy shifts to the interior. The result preserves the daytime ritual of Playa d’en Bossa, but organizes it through a more careful staging and a direct relationship with the sea.

A seasonal venue in expansion

Playa Soleil remains active with a summer season and variable hours according to each event. In 2026, the agenda combines residencies such as Sunwaves Ibiza, Afrodise & Moots, and Crême de Crême with dates from Hot Creations, Cécille, and house and minimal labels. The remodeled pool area of the Bora Bora apartments, connected from the back, has expanded certain productions and recovered part of the day-to-night transit historically associated with the enclave. Thus, the venue maintains a singular position in the current Ibizan club culture: it does not compete for monumentality, but for the continuity between beach, gastronomy, sunset, and dance floor.
