The Marina as an antechamber to a Galician superclub

Between the white galleries of the Marina and the port front of A Coruña, Sala Pelícano built in 2016 a format unusual for the Galician night: a large-capacity nightclub that also functions as a concert hall and venue for high-production events. Installed in Los Cantones Village, the club takes advantage of a central and port location to combine nightlife, live music and electronics in the same container, with a widely cited capacity of 3,000 people.

Two floors, terrace and a dance floor designed to look at the stage

The space is organized on two floors and an outdoor terrace. The main floor concentrates a large dance floor, stage for concerts and private boxes, while the upper floor allows you to see the performance from a height, access a secondary dance floor and go out to the terrace. That distribution makes the tour of the room part of the experience: it is not just a front dance floor, but a venue with vertical circulation, reservation areas, parking in the building and visual production supported by LED screens, powerful lighting and high-performance sound.

Electronics, concerts and high-impact nights

Pelícano's programming has moved between techno, house, mainstream electronics, urban, pop, rock, indie and tour concerts. The club should not be confused with the parties it hosts, although sessions like Wake Up Electronic Parties have been decisive in placing it on the electronic map. Artists such as Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, Chris Liebing, Charlotte de Witte, Nervo, Steve Angello, Nicky Romero, Tanxugueiras, Ayax or Ptazeta have passed through its booth and stage, reflecting a hybrid identity between a live venue and a macro-club.

Galicia in the international clubbing circuit

In 2026, Pelícano's entry into the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs at number 81 consolidated its reading as one of the reference spaces in northwestern Spain. Its value within the Galician club culture is in that mix of scale, urban centrality and versatility: it can function as a late-night nightclub, concert venue, large-capacity afternoon event or stage for international electronic proposals. It remains active with a variable calendar, especially from Thursday to Saturday and on special dates, maintaining a unique position within the night of A Coruña.
