Javi Reina's sets are recognized for an explosive house sound, with a constant groove and a festive touch that has been filling dancefloors in Spain for over two decades. He grew up in Talavera de la Reina, where at fifteen he started DJing in clubs in the province of Toledo and later became a resident at the AQA venue. That local, direct, and no-frills school of thought is still noticeable when he ramps up the tech house or when he incorporates the Latin accent that defines much of his catalog today.

Inevitable, Maniac and the tandem with Juanjo Martín

In 2004, he started producing. At the beginning of 2005, he signed his first maxi-single alongside Juanjo Martín on the Madrid-based label Inevitable, and the duo released tracks on Matinée, House Works, and Set Me Free. From that period came Maniac (Rain Love) with Rebeka Brown, one of the tracks that earned him nominations at the DeejayMags—including Breakthrough Producer—and opened up the national scene to him. In June 2008, the duo split; Reina continued solo and through collaborations with Álex Guerrero, Nicolás Ojesto, or David del Olmo.

Rock Star, Zoombeats and Bailongo Records

As a publisher, he launched Rock Star Records with Raúl Ortiz and Vicente Lara, a label awarded as the best progressive house label in 2009, 2010, and 2011 (DJ Oners). Later came Zoombeats and Vandals Recordings. Today he publishes frequently on Bailongo Records and has placed music on Universal Music, Spinnin' Records, Sony Music, Pacha, Subliminal, Hexagon, Toolroom, or Arcadia. His work has received support from David Guetta, Tiësto, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, Bob Sinclar, Marco Carola, or Mark Knight. He has accumulated over two hundred official references and eight national awards for best producer, best DJ, and best label.

Privilege, Space, Amnesia and the LOOP family

In Ibiza, he has been a resident for Manumission and Supermartxé at Privilege, Matinée at Space, Blackout at Amnesia, and This Is Ibiza at Bora Bora. On the Peninsula, he maintains a long-standing bond with Fabrik (Madrid): he was a classic resident of the venue and today is part of LOOP alongside Alexander Som and Raúl Ortiz. He has also played at Ministry of Sound (London), EDC México (Circuit Grounds, 2023), A Summer Story, Barcelona Beach Festival, and clubs in Miami, Moscow, Paris, or Punta Cana.

Latin house, summer mashups and 2026 schedule

His current sound moves between tech house, progressive house, and a very dancefloor-oriented latin house, visible in recent collaborations with Jose De Mara (Abusadora), Jesús Fernández and Daveartt (Noche y Día, on Toolroom), Carlos Agraz (Donde el Sol), or once again Rebeka Brown (The Rhythm). Every summer he distributes packs of mashups and reworks for the DJ booth. He resides regularly in Ibiza and his worldwide booking is managed by NW Dimension, with fixed dates at Fabrik and a catalog that continues to push the groove toward the dancefloor.
