Sundays at Marula Café now have a recognizable signature: Thisorder, alongside Miguelito Superstar, hosts the Sound-Ay residency, a one-hundred-percent vinyl session that ranges from funk and disco to highlife, salsa, and diaspora groove. The selector treats the DJ booth like a living archive. Soul, hip hop, reggae, Latin sounds, and house are linked with elegance and energy designed to keep the dancefloor moving.

From La Escala to London, a suitcase of soul and funk

Originally from La Escala and based in the Barcelona scene, Thisorder—also billed as This Order—has become a regular at venues that prioritize sound: Curtis Audiophile Café, Ultramar Club, La Paloma, or Palo Market. He has played at Vida Festival and the Estartit Jazz Festival. In 2025, he took his suitcase to London, with dates at Brilliant Corners, Bambi, and Café 1001, and in January 2026, he crossed over to Spiritland. On Radio 1001, he left a hip hop, funk, and boogie session lasting over an hour; on G-SHOCK Radio, he debuted Dusty Grooves with an entire session of seven-inch singles brought from Barcelona.

Planta Baixa and the orbit of El Discòbol

Beyond his residencies, he organizes Planta Baixa, a monthly party at Ultramar Club that has hosted Juli Giuliani, Mabreezee, Gee Lane, Elohim Barros, Sonido Tupinamba, or Cidtronyck. In parallel, he hosts El Discòbol, his vinyl-only music program, and maintains his facet as a producer in the studio. A collector and tireless digger, his compass is the eclectic intersection of jazz, soul, funk, afro, and hip hop: well-placed rarities, reissues, and classics that drive the dance without needing to force the tempo up.

A groove selector, not a formula

Today, he occupies a clear place in Barcelona's vinyl-only scene: club resident, host of his own party, and a bridge to London's audiophile booths. His proposal does not chase the BPM peak, but rather sustained groove, meaningful rarities, and a dancefloor that moves naturally. Between the Empordà and Barcelona's historic center, Thisorder has built a collector's identity that is heard before it is seen: black dance music, vinyl from start to finish, and a club hospitality that invites you to stay until the very last track.
