Sophie Festival is an ambitious project dedicated to underground electronic music that was born in the city of Málaga, Spain, marking a milestone in the cultural scene of Southern Europe. Conceived in 2019 and realized with its first edition in the summer of 2022, the event was devised by a passionate collective of producers, promoters, and record label directors closely linked to the music industry. Its fundamental purpose was clear: to create an idyllic space where cutting-edge electronic music, nature, and the unbeatable climate of the Costa del Sol could join hands to offer an unprecedented outdoor clubbing experience in Andalusia.

A Unique Concept in Southern Europe

Unlike traditional massive events, Sophie Festival is defined by a meticulous focus on artistic curation and the quality of the experience. With a proposal initially structured in chapters during the summer, the festival opted to combine global talents with emerging artists from the Techno, House, Minimal, and Tech House scenes. The brand prides itself on attracting international legends to the province of Málaga who rarely visit the south of the peninsula, turning the region into an international epicenter and an essential cultural hub for lovers of the most refined frequencies and outdoor dancing.

Evolution and Consolidation in Málaga

In its first steps, the festival was located in spaces such as the Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos, but it quickly evolved towards Ogus Park, a spectacular and exotic outdoor venue located in Málaga. This immersive natural environment became the home of Sophie, standing out for its imposing scenographic design, the integration of digital art and avant-garde visuals, as well as high-fidelity sound design. Throughout its editions, titans of the stature of Paul Kalkbrenner, Ricardo Villalobos, Charlotte de Witte, Nina Kraviz, Maceo Plex, and Richie Hawtin have headlined its lineups, delivering historic sessions.
