Arena under the Tres Chimeneas

The ALMAR pergola is set into the sand of Platja del Litoral, with the Tres Chimeneas of Sant Adrià de Besòs as a backdrop. It is not a concrete venue: it is a seasonal beach bar, built with containers, wooden decking, and a bar open to the Mediterranean. The venue itself is presented as a small space, designed for sharing tables, extending your stay, and letting the afternoon fill with rhythm in front of the sea.

The Litoral has a dance floor again

After years without stable dining on this seafront, the City Council awarded two beach bar concessions in 2025. In August, ALMAR Beach Club opened on the Litoral beach, driven by Joan Fortuny, the same operator as the Sun Sea Bar on the platja del Fòrum. The commitment was to bring life back to the promenade: Mediterranean cuisine, grilled meats, tapas, shade, and music until dawn. The first summer was planned as a pilot test and the venue did not open in winter; the following summer, the sand was once again filled with afternoon sessions and open airs.

From the grill to the booth

The menu speaks of agile and accessible cuisine, of fish, meat, and tapas to snack on without rush. Draft beers, natural juice, a covered pergola, and tables on the deck: by day it functions as a beach restaurant. When the sun goes down, the same floor becomes a sand dance floor. Promoters of house, indie dance, melodic, and techno have turned the venue into a circuit of beach parties, often free or by reservation: INPUT brought Carl Craig, Kazanova Club records sets at the beach bar, and events like Boots & Cats, Cadence, or BAD KIDS extend the session until midnight. You dance barefoot, with the breeze and the chimneys lit up in red.

A calendar that lives off the summer

ALMAR does not sustain itself as a winter club. It operates in the summer season, with hours announced from 10:00 to 02:00 on weekdays and the bulk of the activity concentrated on Fridays, Saturdays, and sunsets: DJs, sunsets, live music, and sax in the booth. It is a short walk from the Sant Adrià station—T4 and T6 tram, R1 Rodalies—and the audience that Fortuny seeks mixes neighbors, the metropolitan area, and visitors who discover this beach. On a coastline long eclipsed by Badalona and Barcelona, the beach bar has once again put cuisine, electronic music, and sand on the same level.
