Background of a rhythmic alliance
The genesis of this collaborative project dates back to a chance encounter in Mexico City in 2024. At that time, both producers were immersed in the final phase of their respective studio albums that would be released the following year: 'DÍA' by Ela Minus and 'A Tropical Entropy' by Nick León. From that initial connection in the Mexican capital, mutual admiration quickly materialized into formal collaborations during 2025. Minus contributed her distinctive voice to the track 'Ghost Orchid', included on León's album, while the American producer returned the favor by remixing the successful single 'QQQQ' by the Colombian artist.

After several years of creative exchanges and shared sketches, the EP was finally co-produced in person and completed in Los Angeles in early 2026. The work, composed of three original tracks entirely sung in Spanish, addresses profound questions that resonate with the current generation of creators. The lyrics delve into existential uncertainty, friendships fractured by distance, and the perseverance necessary to survive within the demanding ecosystem of independent music. According to statements by Ela Minus herself, the affinity in the studio was immediate, which allowed the production of the tracks to flow without the friction that usually arises in remote collaborations.

Beyond the imminent digital release scheduled for August, the Smugglers Way label has prepared a carefully crafted 12-inch vinyl physical edition, whose distribution in specialized stores is scheduled for November 20, 2026. This extended format will not only include the original material but will be enriched with contributions from prominent figures in the global underground circuit. Techno producer Loidis signs the reconfiguration of the main track, while Moroccan artist Guedra Guedra and producer Brenda contribute their respective sonic visions to the remaining cuts.

The London showcase and live debut
