The Evolution of Celia Becks: From DJ Hardcandy to Electropop

Celia Becks' trajectory reflects a great transformation from her beginnings in the Madrid electronic scene to her current electropop project. Under the alias Celia Hardcandy, between 2010 and 2013, she established herself in the DJ booths of iconic sets like Zoológico, La Araña, and Goa. Her style stood out for powerful sets and a transgressive attitude, starring in anecdotes such as her jump into the crowd at the Heineken Arena club, where attendees stole her t-shirt and sneakers in the middle of the ecstasy of 'stage diving'.

Currently, the artist has evolved towards composition and the 'live act' format with the release of her album "Veaterapia". Through this pop-electronic work, she explores new sounds and reflects on the music industry. Her critical vision addresses the marked differences between the indie circuit and the DJ ecosystem, denouncing the lack of meritocracy and analyzing the challenges that women face within the national artistic scene.
