Biography of Resistance
Ultra's Underground Concept
Resistance is the prestigious underground electronic music event brand and concept—focused primarily on techno and house genres—created in 2015 by Ultra Worldwide, the parent production company of the massive Ultra Music Festival. It initially emerged as a specialized stage within the main Miami edition, conceived as an exclusive refuge for the purest, darkest, and most avant-garde sounds of club culture, seeking to distance itself from the more commercial rhythms that dominated the main stage.
Global Expansion and Historic Residencies
The spectacular success of its impeccable musical curation and avant-garde aesthetic design quickly propelled Resistance to transform into an autonomous global movement. Throughout its successful trajectory, the brand has organized impressive festivals and its own tours in more than 35 cities across the six inhabited continents. In 2017, the brand marked a historic milestone in clubbing culture by establishing its first residency in Ibiza, immediately winning the coveted 'Best Ibiza Night' award at the renowned DJ Awards.
Sensory and Technological Experience
Beyond regularly summoning a world-class elite lineup made up of legends and brand ambassadors such as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Sasha & John Digweed, ARTBAT, and Eric Prydz, Resistance distinguishes itself by offering monumental and overwhelming technical production. Its impressive summer residencies at Amnesia Ibiza and its powerful seasons at the acclaimed M2 Miami club are characterized by presenting highly technological and avant-garde stage designs, enormous structures, immersive lighting systems, and meticulously calibrated sound, specifically designed to immerse the audience in a truly unsurpassable audiovisual journey.
