Club Darc

The club that was born by pushing mattresses aside

Before occupying a port hangar, Club Darc was the nickname for some house parties. Danny Bell and his roommate Marc Gilfry, now in the duo Neil Frances, would push the mattresses against the wall to make room for the dance floor and combine their names—Danny and Marc—on a single poster. That obsession with inventing a club where there isn't one is what Goldenvoice brought in 2026 to Shed A at Pier 48, in the Mission Rock neighborhood, across from Oracle Park.

A maritime warehouse functioning as a dance floor

The building is a former port warehouse of about 7,900 m², with concrete, steel beams, and high ceilings. In collaboration with Giants Enterprises, Goldenvoice converts it seasonally into a single-room club, with stripped-back production and a gross capacity of 5,800 people. There is no maze of rooms: the warehouse, the outdoor spaces, and an elevated VIP platform concentrate the entire night into a single industrial volume, with lockers instead of a coat check and food trucks outside.

The first season sold out completely

From February 27 to May 16, 2026, the calendar was completely sold out. The project was born to host house and techno headliners who couldn't find a venue in San Francisco that suited them: Chris Stussy, Peggy Gou, Mau P, Michael Bibi, The Martinez Brothers, Chris Lake, Solomun, Underworld, or a Kaskade set lasting six hours straight. Eleven dates were enough to establish the venue as the bay's electronic hangar.

The concrete hit back first

On the opening night, with Stussy, DJ Tennis, and DJ Seinfeld, the warehouse's echo swallowed the music. The club itself admitted that the sound was not up to par; a week later, with curtains and a system readjustment, the Peggy Gou session felt like a different venue. The episode defines the place: it is not a nightclub fine-tuned over decades, but a hangar that must be tamed each season.

The pier hasn't gone dark

After that first run, Club Darc announced an autumn season at the same Shed A. On October 31, 2026, for Halloween, Eric Prydz reopens the warehouse with Tiga and Kelly Lee Owens. It operates on selected weekends, with a usual closing time of 02:00, 21+ access, and stickers on mobile phone cameras. When it opens, Pier 48 stops being a warehouse across from the stadium and becomes a dance floor again.
