The East River as a dance floor backdrop

As soon as you pass the Brooklyn Navy Yard security checkpoint, the East River enters the venue through a glass wall: Duggal Greenhouse doesn't hide the city, it uses it as a backdrop for the dance floor. The concrete, the trusses, and the 70-foot ceilings —about 21 meters— remain visible so that every electronic music party can build its own volume of light and sound. The next day, the venue returns to its raw state, with no fixed DJ booth or permanent decor.

From war hangar to 3,000 bodies

In 2009, Baldev Duggal chose a World War II naval assembly building and commissioned Gregory Okshteyn (Studios GO) for a renovation that wouldn't cover the structure. The official opening came in May 2013: glass facades facing the river and the Williamsburg Bridge, a terrace over the water, and a private dock. On the beams, a welder's inscription remains: «Never forget Pearl Harbor». The space totals 35,000 square feet —about 3,250 m²— between the main floor and mezzanine, with a maximum capacity of 3,000 standing people. There is no resident sound system: each event sets up its own complete production. That is why it functions as an industrial canvas, not a calendar-based nightclub.

Teksupport, Circoloco, and warehouse-scale techno

The New York club scene treats this box as a large-format warehouse. Teksupport hosted Circoloco's Halloween here in 2023 —two nights from 21:00 to 05:00, with Moodymann, Carl Craig, Dixon, Maceo Plex, or Seth Troxler— and, in December 2021, the back-to-back set by Adam Beyer and Cirez D (Eric Prydz) that Drumcode Radio broadcasted. Prydz had already occupied the hangar the previous week. In 2024, Twilight Harbor brought The Chainsmokers and Dimitri Vegas. In November 2026, Time Warp NYC —the ninth edition in the city for the brand born in Mannheim— will occupy Duggal Greenhouse and the Agger building. House music has also played at HERITAGE, the official party for New York Pride.

A venue that rewrites itself every night

The same hangar has hosted the televised Victoria's Secret fashion show, Stranger Things: The Experience, and the 2016 CNN Democratic debate between Clinton and Sanders. That scale explains why an indoor festival rave fits here. Today the building is identified as Building 362 —formerly Building 268— at 63 Flushing Avenue; the usual access is the Sands Street and Navy Street checkpoint. It does not open as a club with a fixed schedule: it opens when there is an event.
