Below the Wilbur, the night descends into the pit

The space now occupied by HAVA was once the ladies lounge and orchestra area of the Wilbur Theatre. It remains at 246 Tremont Street, in Boston's Theater District, right at the intersection with Stuart Street: the theater remains above and the club occupies the basement. The current identity began in 2020, when the same venue dropped the name Cure Lounge and was renamed Hava Lounge. The website now presents it as HAVA Boston, part of Pasha Entertainment, the group that also operates Venu and ICON.

Victorian chic in two acts

The interior bears the signature of John Stefanon, of JFS Design Studio, in a style the house calls Victorian chic: a contrast of shapes, a restrained palette, and the elegance of a theater foyer. The main room inherits that gesture. The rear lounge is installed in the former orchestra pit. The starting image is that of moths drawn to a flame: low light and a more surreal aesthetic, designed to transport the public to a summer night in Shanghai or a fantasy stage. The venue adds two VIP areas, one semi-private and one completely private, plus a lounge with its own bar and separate seating. The DJ booth and immersive lighting articulate the dance floor. The capacity published by the venue is around 380 people.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Public opening is from Thursday to Saturday, from 22:30 to 02:00. From Sunday to Wednesday, the venue is reserved for private events, with a chef, catering, bar, and audiovisual service. Entry is 21+ and requires an official ID. The dress code is dress to impress: hats, work boots, sportswear, and torn clothing are not allowed. Seating is not part of the general ticket; tables focus on bottle service, the host, and priority entry, and the rest of the night is standing room only.

Electronic, Top 40 and promoter nights

The house works with a mix of electronic and Top 40, and leaves many dates in the hands of promoters. The booth hosts sets of afrobeats, soca, reggae, konpa, hip hop, or latin, depending on who is hosting the night. Thursdays have a fixed appointment on the house schedule. Friday and Saturday follow the same club hours, and from Sunday to Wednesday the space switches to private events. It is a theater district club, with short hours and long tables, where the dance floor and the lounge share the same historic pit.
