The passage that isn't seen from the Passeig

Whoever walks down Passeig de Gràcia might pass by: Hyde Club does not open to the avenue, but to the Passatge de Domingo, a short corridor between that artery and Rambla de Catalunya, in the heart of Dreta de l'Eixample. The venue fits into a ground floor and first-floor building, with about 300 m² that the Barcelona studio bgbidea designed for a long night: first drinks and dinner, then the dance floor.

Long bar, dance floor, and privé

The interior design starts from a clear idea: two differentiated spaces. At the entrance, a large longitudinal bar keeps the music at a volume that allows for talking and sitting down to dinner. On the other side, the nightclub area concentrates the dance floor, a second bar, and a privé. There is no multi-room venue or garden: the club bets on a cozy interior, warm materials, and golden-toned lighting, more of a city-center lounge than a warehouse. There is a cloakroom, VIP tables, and cocktail service; on Thursdays, also live music.

From after-work to the six o'clock closing

The weekly programming is set by the venue itself. The Thursday after-work starts from 9:00 PM, with live music and a buffet. On Fridays, the house presents Trending Topic and on Saturdays High Level: nightclub from 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM, with group dinners between 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM. On Sundays, the hours drop to 7:00 PM - 2:00 AM, with bachata and salsa sessions. On the dance floor, commercial house, reggaeton, and hits play, the classic profile of a city-center nightclub with guest lists and tables. On select dates, nights of house and techno have occupied the same dance floor: electronics enter the venue, but the day-to-day remains that of a compact Eixample club.

A number 3 with a previous biography

The property was not born with this name. Between 1981 and 1991, the space was occupied by Metropol, an eighties design music bar. In 1995, the cybercafe Charman opened. Already in the 21st century, Hyde Club was installed; in 2011, the local press described it as a trendy spot, packed on Thursdays. It remains in the same passage, with a listing in the Barcelona City Council guide and an agenda that combines after-work, weekends, and Latin Sundays. It is not a kilowatt warehouse: it is the city-center nightclub, next to the Passeig de Gràcia metro, that opens when the promenade empties.
