Ibiza Gran Hotel

Facing Dalt Vila and a stone's throw from Pacha, the Ibiza Gran Hotel complex was born in 2008 right next to the Botafoch marina: a five-star hotel that didn't shy away from clubbing, but rather brought it into its own premises.

The marina as the industry's headquarters

Between 2008 and 2013, the hotel was the home of the International Music Summit. Panels, meetings, and season-opening parties occupied lounges and gardens while, just a few meters away, Pacha ignited its calendar. For six editions, labels, programmers, and DJs used the building as the headquarters for Ibizan electronic music. The art hotel—with views of the port and Formentera—functioned simultaneously as luxury accommodation and a living room for the nightlife.

Heart: circus, haute cuisine, and dance floor

In 2015, that same space became Heart Ibiza, the project of Ferran and Albert Adrià with Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil, together with the hotel owners. Patricia Urquiola designed an interior of about 3,500 m² where dinner transitioned into a club that in 2019 reached the 14th spot on the World's 100 Best Clubs list. There, La Troya, Acid Sundays, Saga, or Heart Factory took root, featuring Sven Väth, Underworld, Louie Vega, Bedouin, or Satori. Heart did not open in 2020 due to the pandemic, and in 2021 Cálida Ibiza, owner of the hotel and the Casino de Ibiza, took full control of the space.

Chinois, the sonic temple

Island Hospitality reopened the venue on June 17, 2022, as Club Chinois: nearly 3,000 m² inspired by 1930s Shanghai jazz clubs, a dance floor for about 1,000 people, a 360-degree digital wall, and a disco ball. The immersive Meyer Sound system—Leopard, Ultra-X40, 1100-LFC, and SpaceMap—became the club's technical hallmark; Luciano publicly endorsed it. Residencies like Claptone The Masquerade, Defected, Bedouin with Saga, or La Troya itself bridge the present with the Heart era. Within the same complex, the casino, Zuma Ibiza on the terrace, Socialista Ibiza by Cipriani, and La Gaia by Óscar Molina, with a Michelin star, coexist.

An art hotel still on the circuit

Since 2015, the establishment has held the five-star Grand Luxe category. Its public identity boasts over 365 original works of art. The Open Spa exceeds 1,300 m². The calendar is seasonal: the 2026 season kicked off on April 22, its nineteenth. It is not an open-air superclub; it is the marina venue where electronic music has had an industry summit, a dinner-show, and, today, a single-room club with the vocation of a sonic temple.
