The gap Valencia had in large dance floors

For years, the city saw medium and large-capacity halls shut down while major concerts were improvised in bullrings, velodromes, or pavilions not designed for music. The Roig Arena burst onto the scene on September 6, 2025, with the Bravo, Nino tribute, and since then it has operated as the largest indoor venue in Spain: up to 20,000 people in concert format —also in 360 setup— and more than 15,000 for basketball. It is not a nightclub with fixed programming, but a multipurpose pavilion in Quatre Carreres, a stone's throw from the City of Arts and Sciences, conceived so that live music, arena-scale clubbing, and sports can coexist 365 days a year.

A ceramic skin that becomes a screen

The building, promoted by Juan Roig through Licampa 1617 and designed by HOK and ERRE Arquitectura, is recognized by 8,600 ceramic slats from Pamesa, placed like scales over a double-curvature steel structure. By day, they filter light into the terraces; by night, the facade lights up with RGB-White LED video lighting and real-time data. At the northwest access, El Ojo —a 48 by 10-meter LED screen— marks the entrance. Inside, a central four-panel video scoreboard, a video wall of about 500 m² over the stands, and a perimeter LED belt turn the dance floor into an immersive space. The insulation —a meter of layers between the stands and walls— was created so as not to dump sound onto the neighborhood.

From the 360 dance floor to club nights

The musical agenda has not been limited to stadium pop. The venue has hosted the LOS40 Music Awards, international tours, and dance floor formats like Discoteca de los 80s, Bresh, or Remember del Arena, which turn the capacity into a large-scale nightclub. An auditorium of up to 2,000 people covers concerts and medium-format events. In 2026, a permanent d&b audiotechnik system from the SL, A, and CL series was installed, integrated into the ceiling, with ArrayProcessing to adapt coverage to each stage configuration. It is the technical response to programming that wants to regularly host top-tier artists and massive-capacity electronic nights.

Casa taronja that doesn't go out between concerts

Home to Valencia Basket —with an official museum, tour, and store—, the complex adds almost continuous dining (Poble Nou, Ultramarinos Roig, and El Mercat with terrace), VIP hospitality, boxes, parking for more than 1,200 cars, and an adjacent public park. The goal is for the building not to remain in the dark between dates: a stable infrastructure so that Valencia can once again have a large home for live music, electronic music, and the night.
