Its 1,500 square meters of open space are organized around a large and adaptable stage, with different environments and services such as a cloakroom and valet parking. The chronology of the venue starts in 1958, when the leisure space linked to this location began to transform from the old cinema of the fifties towards dance and show uses. A point of friction between live and dance floor culture

Although its agenda depends on each promoter, the venue maintains a clear relationship with the club culture of Madrid. Its format allows it to host everything from tour concerts to techno, house and large-scale electronic parties, with traveling brands and promoters such as Blackworks, Ekho or Hyperlink using the room for its capacity, its elevated booth and its ability to absorb massive audiences. The fixed L-Acoustics system, installed as the venue's technical base, reinforces that dual identity: concert sound for bands and enough pressure for dance floor-oriented sessions. The configuration with Kudo, SB28 and Kara places La Riviera in the field of large-format sound, closer to a professional venue than a conventional nightclub.

The intermediate scale of Madrid

The experience at La Riviera depends a lot on the night: a concert with early opening is not experienced the same as a session until dawn, nor a themed party as a full-house performance. Even so, the architecture always conditions the public's memory: front stage, wide dance floor, balcony and side areas, windows towards the terrace and an atmosphere between tropical, industrial and traditional. That hybrid condition explains its validity within the Madrid scene.
