From El Ejido to the Pérez Texeira hangar

When Eduardo Rodríguez left his live music venue in El Ejido behind, he wasn't looking for another spot in the historic center. Together with Eugenio Pastrana Carvajal, it took them over a year to find a venue in Málaga that fit: a space in the Pérez Texeira industrial estate, in Cruz de Humilladero, right next to the fairgrounds. Sala Roka opened in June 2024 with that geography as its main selling point. Getting there is simple, there is parking, and the crowd doesn't have to battle the traffic of one of the most saturated leisure cities in the Mediterranean. The venue's motto is direct: music in all its forms, without locking itself into a single genre.

Six hundred people and an open-plan volume

The venue is an open-plan volume, designed so you never lose sight of the stage. There are dressing rooms with direct access to the stage, an emergency exit, and outdoor lockers, independent of the entrance. The managers acknowledge that the venue could hold close to a thousand spectators, but they limit entry to 600 so that people aren't stepping on each other. That figure is the true measure of the night: full, but with room to breathe. Space rental and the technical rider are managed on demand, as a concert and event hall.

From Black Flag to drum and bass

In just over two years, the stage has mixed legends and dance floors. China Crisis, Cobra Spell, Black Flag, Dante Spinetta, and Vargas Blues Band have all performed here. The same venue has hosted electronic music, techno, house, and drum and bass: club nights like Odyssey, live sets by Ed Solo, or breakbeat events. It is not a nightclub with a fixed schedule. It is a concert box that, when the lineup calls for it, turns into a club until closing.

Vibra Málaga, no toll for local acts

With Vibra Málaga, local bands can set up their date at zero cost. It is not a label or a party brand: it is infrastructure placed at the service of bands without a rental budget. The schedule is event-based, without permanent business hours, and in 2026 the calendar continues with international names, local metal, and dance floor proposals.
