A medium format with the nerve of a large room

Between the scale of a local venue and the pressure of a nightclub booth, Sala X has consolidated in Seville a medium-capacity format that is unusual: a compact, technical, and broadly programmed venue on José Díaz Street, within the La Macarena district. Born in September 2014, its identity is not limited to the classic concert. It functions as a live music venue, dance club, and space for small-format theater, with an activity that has added hundreds of events and thousands of attendees since its opening.

The hinge between guitars, electronics, and the new scene

The programming has been supported by a broad reading of independent music: rock, indie, soul, funk, reggae, psychedelia, trap, and electronics coexist with national, international, and emerging proposals. Names like Marky Ramone, Fred Wesley, Kiko Veneno, Zahara, Napalm Death, Coque Malla, M. Ward, Dean Wareham, The Sadies, or Derby Motoreta's Burrito Kachimba have passed through its stage, along with local bands and projects in development. That mix explains its role as an intermediate point between the Seville scene, touring agencies, and a public community that seeks local live performances without giving up serious production.

Visible technique, dark dance floor, and craft culture

The value of the venue is in the room engineering. Its rider declares a surface of 250 m², a capacity of 350 people, a stage of 6.47 x 3.8 meters, centered control, and a limit of 105 dBA at FOH. The main system works with PA L-Acoustics, SB18 subs, ARCS Wide, and ARCS Focus, supported by Midas M32 Live and a booth with Xone:92, Technics 1200 MK2, and Pioneer CDJ-900NXS. The room adds a bar, cloakroom, dressing rooms, access ramp, adapted bathroom, and an industrial-style interior aesthetic, without betting on a separate VIP area: the experience is concentrated on the dance floor, stage, and proximity.

A cultural network beyond the night

Managed by Rocknrolla Producciones, Sala X has been linked to projects like Tremendo Club, Girando por Salas, cycles with Fundación SGAE, Jägermusic, and collaborations with Monkey Week. Its activity has also given space to Afro-Latin proposals, theater, LGBTIQ collectives, and projects promoted by women within music. Currently, it maintains a variable agenda, with concerts and club sessions especially on Fridays and Saturdays, and an access policy defined as an inclusive and safe space. More than a conventional nightclub, it operates as a piece of cultural infrastructure for a city where live music and the dance floor continue to share a roof.
