Shôko Madrid

The red SHÔKO sign above the dance floor at 86 Calle de Toledo hints at the character of the venue: a space in La Latina designed to mutate, from an evening concert hall to a late-night club, without changing walls.

A beach brand turned into a Madrid venue

The firm was born in 2004 by the Mediterranean; the Madrid building opened in 2005 and does not replicate the restaurant-club from Barceloneta. Here, the stage, the two floors, and an agenda split into two time slots are key. At sunset, it functions as a concert hall; after midnight, it becomes a music urban nightclub. That double life, and not a leisure slogan, is what sustains two decades of programming with its own name.

Urban club and live lineup

The night is organized into the venue's sessions: Swag City, The Room, Pure Shôko, La Residencia, and Fucking Monday. The sound ranges from reggaeton to hip hop, R&B, and commercial hits. On that same stage, artists like Bad Bunny, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Quevedo, Saiko, Bad Gyal, Cosculluela, Chris Brown, or Anuel have performed. The evenings have brought another genealogy: Amaral, Julieta Venegas, Pablo López, Manolo García, or Johnny Rotten. It is not a traveling party that rents warehouses: it is a physical club with a facade on Toledo.

Walls that are not walls

More than 2,000 m² are organized into three rooms. The Main Room reaches 12.5 m in height, with an 8 m stage opening, an 8×3 m LED screen, a 5 m rotating platform capable of 7,500 kg, and an L-Acoustics system. The surfaces project video and color; the upper floor, the Crystal Room, overlooks the dance floor behind a sliding glass wall; La Suite by Shôko wraps you in LED columns. The service is completed by a cloakroom, VIP area, dressing rooms, and parking. After the pandemic, the venue reinforced that technological skin and remained a chameleonic room.

From 33rd to 22nd place, and the neighborhood noise

In The World's 100 Best Clubs, it rose from 33rd (2022) to 25th, 23rd, and 22nd in 2025, the best-positioned Madrid club in that edition, and in 2026 it is nominated again. It holds the INA Triple Excellence, Biosphere certification, Nightlife Safety Certified, and the Recicla la Noche award. With the Centro District, Noche Madrid, and the FRAVM, it promoted the campaign "In the queue, silence is your best company," which improved noise reduction measures by 34.5%. It also collects toys with the La Corrala Neighborhood Association for the Antonio Moreno Rosales school. It opens Mondays and from Wednesday to Sunday, with regular access from 23:45 and closing around 06:00.
