The Concourse Project

A changing warehouse south of the airport

The industrial silhouette of The Concourse Project summarizes a recent part of the electronic transformation of Austin: a modular warehouse next to the southern area of the airport converted into a reference venue for house, techno, and large-format club music. Established in 2021, the space was promoted by Andrew Parsons and Kelly Gray, figures from RealMusic Events, along with David Brinkley, with the idea of creating stable infrastructure for a scene that for years had functioned more dispersedly between raves, rented halls, and occasional events.

Flexible architecture for an expanding dancefloor

The venue functions as a contemporary warehouse of more than 18,000 ft², with a large-capacity main room, upper mezzanine, two outdoor patios, and an attached field. Its physical identity does not rely on decorative luxury, but on a bare, scalable structure prepared to change size: it can host intimate nights of several hundred people or sessions of up to 2,000 attendees indoors. That modular condition has been key to programming both emerging artists and headliners without losing the club feel.

Sound, light, and its own dancefloor culture

The main room is equipped with a d&b audiotechnik system, acoustic treatment, and adjustments designed for its different formats. Visual production is updated frequently through rigging, screens, lasers, and lighting designs that turn the warehouse into an immersive experience. Names like Carl Cox, Tiësto, Sasha & John Digweed, Purple Disco Machine, Charlotte de Witte, Lane 8, or Four Tet have passed through its booth, in addition to continuous programming linked to the North American underground and the international circuit.

An independent node between club and festival

The Concourse Project is also the physical home of Seismic Dance Event, but maintains its own identity as an active venue throughout the year, with a variable agenda, 18+ or 21+ nights depending on the event, and a community that travels from other Texas cities to listen to electronic music in large-venue conditions. Its position in a non-touristy area of Burleson Road reinforces that feeling of destination: it is not a transient hall, but a format laboratory where production, the dancefloor, and the local scene continue to grow in parallel.
