Three decades reading the Milanese dancefloor

The Milan dancefloor has been the permanent laboratory for ALE BUCCI, a selector whose continuity dates back to 1993 and who has traversed several generations of clubbing without being tied to a single formula. His professional journey began at Hollywood and continued for five years at Casablanca, two venues linked to the city's nightlife history. Since 2006, he has consolidated his profile as a resident at The Club Milano and The Beach Milano, building a stable presence in a scene that is particularly demanding and sensitive to new trends.

House as a language, not a corset

House music constitutes the core of his musical identity, although his sessions have moved between the depth of deep house, the punch of tech house, and, in recent years, the organic and percussive pulse of afro house. His approach starts with a careful selection and a direct relationship with the audience: the dancefloor does not function as a passive recipient, but as an interlocutor that shapes the narrative of the set. That ability to read the atmosphere, adjust the energy, and maintain a recognizable line explains his long-standing connection with Milanese DJ booths. His participation in the Music in the Air series by Villahangar documented that more narrative side, with long-format mixes built from contemporary house and its melodic derivations.

From historic clubs to the horizon of Phi Beach

Throughout his career, he has passed through booths such as Terrazza Duomo 21 in Milan and Beach Club in Forte dei Marmi, in addition to performing as a guest in various enclaves in Italy and the Iberian Peninsula. In his current stage, he maintains his bond with The Club Milano and moves his summer activity to Phi Beach, in Sardinia, where he appears recurrently in the programming. That transition between the urban club and an open space on the Costa Smeralda fits an identity capable of adapting tempos, textures, and dynamics to very different contexts without abandoning house as a common thread.

The studio returns to the foreground

Production has accompanied his trajectory since Mutha Funk, a project shared with Mavee that recovered the disco, funky, and house DNA of the 1970s and 1980s. More recently, his catalog has entered a renewed phase alongside Bohemoon: Desert Down appeared in 2024 via Hysterical, EGO's label; in 2025 came Yemen, released by LoudKult Div., and Yata, released by Xpressed Records. Added to that series was Inkosi Endala, a collaboration with Bohemoon and Adil Kaan that delves into his afro and melodic side. With over three decades of craft, ALE BUCCI occupies a unique position: he preserves the memory of Milanese house while updating its language through active residencies, long-format sessions, and production oriented toward the contemporary dancefloor.
