Biography of Ale De Tuglie
Bari as a groove laboratory
Ale De Tuglie's pulse is recognized by a direct, physical way of DJing that is very close to the dance floor: tense rhythms, punchy bass, and minimal details that keep the floor moving without losing elegance. Raised in Bari, in southern Italy, he came into contact with electronic music at the age of fourteen and began building his language from the local club culture, first as a listener and later as a selector. That early relationship with the DJ booth explains an important part of his identity: sets with a functional vocation, constant reading of the audience, and a clear preference for groove over showmanship.
The Music On orbit
His growth accelerated when he joined the environment of Marco Carola and Music On, a platform that gave him continuity in Ibiza and visibility outside of Italy. Since 2021, he has revolved around that circuit, with performances associated with venues such as Ushuaïa Ibiza, Pacha Ibiza, Destino, Soho Garden DXB in Dubai, and Printworks in London, as well as dates in Amsterdam during ADE and at Music On Festival. In Italy, he has also passed through relevant booths such as Cromie, Spazio Novecento, Clorophilla, Mandarino, Cocoricò, Bolgia, and Le Vele, consolidating a presence that connects the Italian scene with the international house and tech house calendar.
Production with dance floor nerve
In the studio, his catalog shows a transition from releases signed as Alessandro De Tuglie towards the stage name Ale De Tuglie. His releases have appeared on labels such as Whippin, Futura, Work Them Records, Moan, CUFF, and HALO Recordings, with references such as Gotta Work EP, Squeeze Me EP, Dat Mf Flow, Not A Feeling, No Rules, Rollin', Don't Stop EP, and Pleasure Is Close. That discography moves between tech house, minimal / deep tech, house, and techno, with dry kicks, elastic basslines, short vocals, and production designed to sustain tension in large booths without sacrificing detail.
A label of his own to expand the framework
The creation of HALO Recordings marked a stage of greater creative control. The label was born as a space to release music with a more personal vision, open to moving between techno, minimal, house, and electronic. In this phase, Ale De Tuglie has combined his own releases, remixes, and long-duration sets on official channels, maintaining an international agenda linked to Ibiza, Amsterdam, and South America. His current position is that of an expanding Italian producer and DJ, especially recognizable within the Music On circuit and the new generation of artists who work on tech house from a sensibility of deep groove and club precision.
