Musically raised in Nottingham and connected to London through clubs, radio, and dance communities, her work moves between the DJ booth, songwriting, and curating her own nights. As a resident on Rinse FM, she has expanded that palette toward sessions of soulful house, garage house, classic disco, and afro-percussive rhythms, with a selection that avoids literal nostalgia and seeks direct dancefloor energy. Her mixes feature Masters At Work, jazz, British bass, and vocal euphoria cuts, always with a focus on community rather than technical exhibition.

House Party, Madame Jazz, and the Ellvester pulse

The growth of Ella Knight’s House Party has been key to her projection. The series, born in London with a spirit of intimate, high-energy partying, has brought together figures like Todd Edwards, Wookie, Benji B, and Jeremy Sylvester, and has reached stages like Glastonbury. In parallel, Madame Jazz functions as a platform to highlight female jazz and soul artists, with showcases that have passed through venues like The Jazz Café. Her collaboration with Jeremy Sylvester led to Ellvester, a house and UK garage b2b project that has performed at The Cause, Glastonbury, Boomtown, and NT’s Loft.

From Boiler Room to the big tents

Her presence in booths and festivals has grown with performances at Boiler Room, Cross The Tracks, Boomtown, We Out Here, Lost Village, Drumsheds, Village Underground, Phonox, KOKO, and The Jazz Café, in addition to dates linked to Defected and Glitterbox. DJ Mag included her among its emerging artists of July 2024 and Mixmag placed her among the names to watch in 2025. Currently, Ella Knight occupies a unique space among the new British generation: a DJ, vocalist, and promoter who connects house, garage, disco, jazz, and soul with a clear idea of scene, curatorial care, and a shared dancefloor.
