Gaskin is the artistic alias of Luke Gaskin, a British DJ and producer associated with Newcastle upon Tyne and the house scene in the northeast of England. His connection to club music accelerated during his seasons in Ibiza, where he absorbed the influence of Patrick Topping, Jamie Jones, and the Hot Creations environment. From that experience, he took his own interpretation of house toward a direct, joyful, and high-pressure formula, designed for large dance floors but built from the underground circuit.

Bass Jamz as a community engine

His growth is closely linked to Bass Jamz, a brand, promoter, and label that he turned into a platform for his musical community. From Newcastle and Leeds, the project went from organizing parties with local energy to functioning as a recognizable sonic identity, based on elastic kicks, bouncy basslines, functional percussion, and nods to 90s house. Gaskin also uses Bass Jamz as a showcase for like-minded artists and a meeting point for an audience looking for physical, fast, and festive house.

Dance floor production and 90s memory

In the studio, his name was consolidated with tracks like A Fresh Energy, Dirty Mindz, Closer, Get Ya Freak On, If Your Girl with Ben Hemsley, Ultraman, and ENDZ060, an EP released on Eastenderz. His catalog has spread across labels such as Up The Stuss, PIV Records, Moxy Muzik, Microhertz, Dark Side Of The Sun, Eastenderz, Solid Grooves, Ministry of Sound Recordings, and Factory 93 Records, reinforcing an aesthetic that mixes tech house, deep tech, and 90s-rooted house.

A rise from club to festival

Gaskin's projection has been reflected in performances for Paradise, Kaluki, MINT Warehouse, Fabric, MINT Festival, Amnesia Ibiza, Pacha Barcelona, Cova Santa Ibiza, Creamfields, and Hide & Seek Festival. His moment at Creamfields, with a massive crowd in front of the stage, reinforced the perception of an artist in full expansion. In 2026, his career became linked to a broader international structure with global representation by Meanwhile, while Bass Jamz continued as a creative and management base. His current position is that of a producer and selector capable of connecting the rawness of British underground house with increasingly larger stages without losing the community momentum that made him grow.
