The tension between the dark club and the big pop chorus defines Gorgon City, one of the British acts that has best taken bass-heavy house from the London underground to international festivals and venues. The project unites the precision of Kye Gibbon and Matthew Robson-Scott, musicians who had already released music as Foamo and RackNRuin, and who found a common language in the mix of house, UK garage, 2-step, soulful vocals, and robust basslines.

From the Black Butter pulse to the global map

The first stage was linked to the energy of Black Butter Records and the takeoff of singles like Real, Ready For Your Love, Here For You, Unmissable, and Go All Night, tracks that connected British club culture with radio without diluting their impact. Their debut album, Sirens, consolidated that formula in 2014 and opened a discography that would later grow with Escape, Olympia, Salvation, and Reverie. Throughout that journey, the duo has worked with vocalists and artists such as MNEK, Laura Welsh, Jennifer Hudson, DRAMA, NEZ, Hayley May, or Caroline Byrne, and has also signed remixes and collaborations that reinforce their profile as dancefloor producers.

REALM as their own territory

Starting with REALM, their own label and party platform, Gorgon City has delved into a more club-oriented reading of contemporary house: drier drums, more forward-leaning bass, rave-tension synths, and a selection of collaborators oriented toward the dancefloor. Salvation marked a stage of melodic maturity in 2023, while Reverie, released in 2024, took them toward a more physical album, designed for large sound systems and the immediate response of the audience. That evolution coexists with their most recognizable identity: songs with clean structures, memorable vocals, and a very distinct bass engineering.

Enter The Realm, Ibiza, and the live dimension

Gorgon City's reputation is also understood from the DJ booth. Their sets and live shows have passed through Drumsheds London, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Brooklyn Mirage, Coachella, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Lollapalooza, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, and other benchmarks of the international circuit. The Enter The Realm concept has reinforced their role as curators, not just as headliners, by placing their music alongside a network of producers linked to current house, tech house, and garage. Currently, the duo maintains a solid position between quality crossover and more functional club music: accessible to large audiences, but built with the language, sound pressure, and dancefloor culture of the United Kingdom.
