Under a house concept that looks to Chicago and New York without losing the pulse of Amsterdam, Dennis Quin has built an identity recognizable by its robust basslines, the use of analog gear, and a mixing style that prioritizes rhythm over the easy hit. His relationship with club music started in the nineties, when he began buying vinyl and absorbing the school of Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry, and Masters At Work. That foundation of classic house culture remains the axis of a body of work that does not seek to sound nostalgic, but rather to translate that language to current dancefloors.

The craft of the producer as an extension of the DJ booth

After an initial stage focused on vinyl and selection, his studio work began to gain weight starting in the 2010s. The turning point came with his connection to Hardsoul Publishing and Talpa Music, as well as his work alongside Roog and the Hardsoul environment. From there, he developed a discography that combines deep house, tech house, classic house, and nods to UK garage, with production based on tight drums, short synthesizer chords, punchy vocals, and a musicality inherited from his early piano training. By 2016, he was already appearing among the standout house names on Beatport and Traxsource, a sign of the reach his releases were beginning to have within the DJ circuit.

Labels, collaborations and a club reputation

His catalog has passed through labels such as DFTD and Defected, Madhouse, PIV, Kaoz Theory, Cécille, Solid Grooves, and Heavy House Society, among others. Within that trajectory, tracks and remixes such as Dedication To House Music, Chanté, The Gryphon, Temptation, Bootycall, and his collaboration on You Are in My System alongside Kerri Chandler and Troy Denari stand out, a key work for expanding his international projection. His sets usually rely on his own material, private edits, and a physical reading of the dancefloor, which explains his presence in DJ booths and lineups linked to Amsterdam, Ibiza, London, Rotterdam, and Miami.

Eardrums, QuINvites and an auteur phase

In his most recent phase, he has reinforced his profile as a curator with EARDRUMS, a label founded by him to release timeless, dance-oriented house influenced by the traditions of the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Netherlands. The platform started with The Liberation EP and continued with works such as Rock & Rule EP, consolidating a distinct line outside of fast-moving trends. Added to that vision is QuINvites, his event series, where his role goes beyond the guest DJ and approaches that of a programmer. Dennis Quin occupies a solid position within European house today: a producer with classic roots, but with a contemporary language, capable of uniting memory, rhythmic muscle, and club functionality.
