Pegatina, the vinyl night that beats at Les Enfants

At Les Enfants Brillants, in the center of Barcelona, Pegatina functions as a statement of principles: a dance floor without labels, skilled artists, and an explicit devotion to vinyl. Javier Carballo has curated and DJed this residency since 2023, after a decade between London and Berlin, and has turned the club into the place where his selector criteria—house, electro, breaks, and techno—is heard without commercial shortcuts.

The underground pulse that came out of Gran Canaria

Raised in Gran Canaria, he approached the turntables in the nineties and started DJing in public around the year 2000. At the beginning of 2004, Chic & Cream offered him a residency: curating weekends in a tourist venue open every day gave him national projection and a shared booth with international house and techno names. Before that, he had debuted at Cuasquías while still a minor and had learned the craft in venues in Playa del Inglés. Later, he artistically directed Club Velvet and, in 2008, founded the event brand Under Your Seat with Berna, behind his own nights and the Rebel Electronic Dance Club in San Agustín.

Look Perry, TERMS and HDZ: three ways to avoid repeating himself

When the weight of his own name began to condition his studio work, he opened other identities. Look Perry aims for the dance floor without concessions, between tech house, progressive, electro house, and garage. TERMS is the more musical side, close to techno, ambient, IDM, and electro, with the radio show Interplanetary Music Service. HDZ, together with Aniano, completes that map of projects, released on labels including Underyourseat. During the pandemic, the label Círculo Cerrado was also born, with Berna and Aniano, based on intimate circle parties.

Overall Music and a circuit of long sets

In 2010, he launched Overall Music with Hanfry Martínez; since 2014, the label has consolidated itself as a house and techno platform for DJs and collectors, with collaborators such as Guti, Héctor, Maya Jane Coles, or Subb-an. His discography has passed through Vatos Locos, Serialism, One Records, Tabla, or Decay, with tracks supported by figures like Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, or Paco Osuna. In the booth, he has been at Fabric (London), DC-10 (Ibiza), Output (New York), Watergate (Berlin), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Input (Barcelona), Roots (Madrid), and festivals such as Sunwaves, Epizode, BPM, or Días de Campo. Today, with international booking through Pieces and representation in Spain with Enrenou Artists, he continues to refine his set as a unique discourse, from Gran Canaria to the European underground.
