Madeon

A Launchpad and 39 songs that changed everything

In July 2011, a mashup performed in real-time with a Novation Launchpad placed Madeon at the center of pop electronica. Pop Culture mixed 39 tracks in a single take and surpassed sixty million views: the leap from a self-taught producer from Nantes to major festivals. He had started composing at age eleven and arrived at that name—an anagram of his alias Deamon—after winning a Pendulum remix contest.

Popcultur, festivals and Adventure

With his own label Popcultur he released Icarus, Finale, The City and Technicolor, tracks that jumped to Pete Tong's radio and video game soundtracks. By 2012 he was already at Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza and Electric Daisy Carnival, and opened for Lady Gaga on the Born This Way Ball. He co-produced Venus, Mary Jane Holland and Gypsy for Artpop, and later returned with her on Chromatica. The album Adventure (2015, Columbia) consolidated an electropop with a French house heritage, featuring Passion Pit, Mark Foster and Dan Smith of Bastille, and reached number one on the dance/electronic albums chart in the United States. That same year he headlined the Adventure Live tour and, shortly after, Pixel Empire.

Shelter and the theater of Good Faith

Together with Porter Robinson he signed Shelter (2016) and the joint tour Shelter Live Tour, which closed at Coachella. Good Faith (2019) positioned him as an electronic singer-songwriter: he writes, produces and sings, with an imagery of gospel choirs and his own show premiered at Lollapalooza. The album was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2021. The era extended to Good Faith Forever, with finales at Red Rocks and the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and singles like The Prince, Love You Back and Gonna Be Good. He also produced for Ellie Goulding and collaborated with Coldplay, and maintained Good Faith Radio on Apple Music as a space for discovery.

Victory: punk, fashion and the third era

After a year-long hiatus and collaborations with Wavedash, Louis The Child and Keshi, Victory was released on June 26, 2026, on Mom + Pop: ten electropop tracks with punk energy and high-fashion aesthetics, featuring Slayyyter, Sam Gellaitry and Erick the Architect. The Victory Live show premiered at Red Rocks in October 2025 and tours North America in 2026. Based in Los Angeles, Madeon operates today as an author of concept albums and theatrical live shows, far from the anonymous DJ circuit and close to his own pop identity.
