Eleven at night on The Terrace

At Club Space, Ms. Mada's clock doesn't mark prime time: it marks the start or the finish. At 11:00 PM she warms up The Terrace for the world's house and techno headliners; the following noon, with the sun already high over downtown Miami, she closes the session. That discipline of boundaries—never overshadowing the headliner, never playing their tracks—has made her a resident of one of the most recognized electronic institutions on the planet and, at the same time, the hallmark of her career. Signing in every week on that terrace is not a burden compared to touring: it is the laboratory that continues to shape her.

The groove that Loco Dice wanted to take on tour

The sound she defends is elastic: airy house, tech house with groove, and denser techno when the dance floor demands it. She doesn't pursue novelty as a system; she pursues keeping the room hooked. That reading earned her the attention of Loco Dice, who incorporated her into Serán Bendecidos and dates in Latin America after her Boiler Room set at the III Points festival in 2019, more than eighty minutes that opened up the international map for her. Since then, she has joined the lineups of Jamie Jones' Paradise, Marco Carola's Music On, and Solid Grooves at DC-10, and has opened the Theatre at Hï Ibiza for Black Coffee.

Filter, Link and the weekly signing

She began DJing professionally in the Miami underground around 2010. Electric Pickle and the Filter parties were her first residency; later came Treehouse, Story, and TRADE, always in the orbit of LinkMiamiRebels and Davide Danese, who recruited her in 2011. In 2016, when that team bought Club Space, she became a resident. In parallel, she manages the club's booking operations: contracts, fees, and logistics. Miami New Times chose her as the city's best DJ in 2017. She has played at Ultra, EDC Las Vegas, Hard Summer, CRSSD, Time Warp New York, EXIT, BPM, and Splash House, maintaining a double life as a resident and itinerant artist that few maintain with such naturalness.

Madafakaz, the home crowd dance floor

Born in Manila and raised in Miami, she was formed between Daft Punk's radio, the electro house of her adolescence, and a George Acosta CD that opened up the local map for her, from Robbie Rivera to Oscar G. The alias Madafakaz, invented to DJ at III Joints, ended up giving its name to her party series at Factory Town: dance floor tech house and back-to-backs among friends during Miami Music Week. On record, she has released music calmly—early pieces like Never Give In with Matches, Bandcamp editions, recent compilations—because she defines herself as a DJ before a producer. Mixmag In Session, Electronic Groove EG.962, and a Keinemusik Radio Show have documented that criteria. Space remains her north star: she doesn't want a career made only of airplanes if that means losing the terrace where she learned to read every sunrise.
