The cult of the Stingzone

Few figures in recent electronic music have turned the DJ booth into an internet artifact as effectively as Partiboi69. His aesthetic of sharp sunglasses, sexual humor, exaggerated movements, and low-budget graphics coexists with a selection of ghetto house, electro, techno, and Miami bass designed to sound physical, fast, and brazen. From Melbourne, he transformed the language of the home video and the recorded set into a complete identity: the Stingzone, a visual territory where the joke and the dancefloor function as the same machine.

From the Stingray alias to total control

Before consolidating this persona, he released music and performed as Stingray, a phase that marked the beginning of his activity in 2016. In 2018, he began using the name Partiboi69 and reinforced a way of working based on independence, self-parody, and direct control of his releases. The momentum of Unprotected Records, along with Stingboi Productions and Mutual Pleasure, allowed him to release music without depending on traditional demo and waiting circuits. That logic fits a discography that advances through singles, EPs, mixtapes, and videos: from Unprotected and the tapes UNPREC069 and 69 Juice to Mutual Pleasure 002, Ride Hard, Naughty by Nature with MCR-T, Call of the Void on Running Back, Double Drop, or Case Number: DS46013455.

Speed, sweat, and mutant club culture

His sound avoids the solemn neatness of contemporary techno and prefers a direct energy: elastic basslines, chopped vocals, digital sex, dry percussion, and nods to the American club scene of the nineties. His sets include ghettotech, Detroit electro, hard house, booty house, and peak-time techno, always with a confrontational attitude. That mix explains why he has connected so well with both club audiences and digital communities that consume his sets as audiovisual pieces. His debut at Boiler Room Bangalore in 2023 consolidated that international scale with a one-hour set that surpassed a million views and cemented his image as an absurd, technical, and effective master of ceremonies.

High-voltage collisions

Partiboi69 has expanded his universe through collaborations with KETTAMA, with whom he activated the KETBOI69 project and the Australian Taste the Grapes tour, as well as work and crossovers with MCR-T, Skream, Juicy Romance, LB aka LABAT, Héctor Oaks, Mainline Magic Orchestra, and murmurmur. His schedule has moved between festivals, raves, and benchmark venues, with documented appearances in spaces such as Berghain | Panorama Bar | Säule, Amnesia Ibiza, Nitsa Club, or Mondo. At present, he occupies a unique place: he is simultaneously a meme, a performer, and a club selector, an artist who turns excess into a method and defends that dance music can also be ridiculous, dirty, fast, and dangerously functional.
