The Latin hardgroove beat

PETERBLUE's dancefloor functions as a crossroads between hardgroove, Latin memory, and rave energy. His language starts from high-speed techno but crosses it with patterns of reggaeton, dembow, merengue, salsa, and Latin club, building a contemporary Colombian interpretation of club electronics. In recent years, he has established himself as one of the most visible voices of post-pandemic Latin electronic fusion, based in Barcelona and with a sonic identity that avoids a single label.

From the bedroom to the European circuit

Born in Bogotá and shaped in a context marked by the exchange between Latin America and Europe, he began to define his sound during the pandemic, when he was working from his bedroom and also living a period in Argentina. The response to his remix of Fuego, by Bomba Estéreo, uploaded to SoundCloud, boosted a line of work focused on uniting 90s techno loops with Latin-rooted hooks and samples. After early releases like Bakalao and Anxiolytic, the EP B.P.N.P or Bailar Para No Pensar placed tracks like God Save The Groove and Latin Ectasy Club within a fast, raw, and festive aesthetic.

PA$TI as a community statement

His discography has expanded with releases on labels such as OBSCUUR, Hotties, Hot Meal Records, and Live From Earth, in addition to his own material on Bandcamp. Pieces like BOMBO, NU SWING, BENDECIO, Diskoteka Amerikana, Raggamuffin, DAIQUIRI, and the 40 De Fiebre pack, with DEMBOTRONIC and CANELATON, show an approach that does not separate booth functionality from the Latin popular imaginary. In parallel, he created PA$TI, a platform linked to his community and like-minded artists from Latin America and other circuits, reinforcing his role as a promoter of a scene that works from fun, identity, and autonomy.

Booths that accelerate a unique identity

His international leap was supported by a first European tour, performances in spaces such as UnderClub, HÖR Berlin, The Row Barcelona, and Hï Ibiza, as well as appearances at festivals and lineups such as Fusion Festival, Sónar, and EDC Colombia. The 2024 HÖR set amplified his global profile and connected his sound with a wider audience within the high-energy club scene. With support from names in the contemporary electronic circuit and a growing presence between Europe, Colombia, and other territories, PETERBLUE occupies a unique position: he does not limit himself to Latinizing techno, but proposes his own grammar where Latin rhythm, hardgroove, and club culture operate as one and the same body.
