Grace, measured once again at POSTCITY

On the opening night of Ars Electronica 2023, at the POSTCITY in Linz, FEMINA took over the Train Hall with a forty-minute double-screen performance: echoes of Italian polyphonic madrigals, quantized and resynthesized into electronic matter, set against Renaissance portraits—Piero della Francesca, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Leonardo, Bronzino—dissolving into a sound-reactive image flow. The project imagines how an artificial intelligence learns, internalizes, and expresses the idea of grace. Since that premiere, it has traveled to L.E.V. in Madrid and Gijón, MUTEK Montreal, Videocittà in Rome and Naples, Sonica in Glasgow, the Triennale di Milano, Patchlab in Krakow, Transart in Bolzano, Concentrico in Carpi, IDAF in Istanbul, and, in January 2026, the Philharmonie de Paris for the closing of the NEMO Biennial. In 2024, it won the Videocittà award for best audiovisual performance; in 2025, Intarsi was recognized at the City Digital Skin Art Festival.

OZMOTIC, the curved sax and the Touch catalog

Before that solo phase, in 2010 he founded the duo OZMOTIC in Turin with Simone Bosco. Together they released AirEffect (2015) and Liquid Times (2016) on Folk Wisdom, featuring Christian Fennesz, Frank Bretschneider, and Senking, and made the leap to the London-based label Touch with Elusive Balance (2018) and Senzatempo (2023), once again with Fennesz. The curved soprano saxophone, percussion, glitch, ambient textures, and visuals generated in real-time with Ableton Live and Max/Jitter sustain that osmosis between contemporary jazz, musique concrète, and abstract electronics. With the duo, he has performed at MITO Settembre Musica (Milan), State-X New Forms (The Hague), and Nextech (Florence), and has collaborated with Murcof, William Parker, and other names from the experimental scene.

Physics of timbre, classrooms, and immersive thresholds

Acoustic physicist specializing in signal analysis and architectural acoustics, he has over twenty-five years of teaching experience: acoustic physics and electroacoustics at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale in Saluzzo, sound design and multimedia installations at the SAE Institute in Milan, and he is a certified Ableton trainer. Installations linked to FEMINA and HUMĪ have occupied the LINK Festival in Oviedo, the Museo Santa Maria della Scala in Siena, Centquatre-Paris, the Çubuklu silos in Istanbul, and residencies such as Sony CSL in Paris. Upcoming dates include Romaeuropa, Signal Sound in Prague, and Sonic Bloom in Seoul. Booking for his audiovisual work is managed by Papillon's Agency.
