Hidden booth, phones off the dancefloor

The booth disappears and the phone stays in your pocket: that is how the world of salute is understood today. With the infinite passion party series —sold-out dates in London, Manchester, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles— they have imposed a hidden dancefloor setup, long sets, and guest DJs with carte blanche, from HAAi to AceMo, Call Super, Effy, or Bambounou. That same spirit fuels the self-titled mixtape announced in 2026, with club tools like check check and soulreply alongside Riva Starr, and a remix of Love Sensation for Madonna's Confessions II: Afterhours.

TRUE MAGIC, at full speed

The first studio album, TRUE MAGIC (Ninja Tune, July 12, 2024), was conceived as a race with a JDM car, inspired by Japanese television commercials. The record, which reached No. 5 on the UK Dance Albums Chart, brings together Rina Sawayama, Disclosure, Karma Kid, Sam Gellaitry, Empress Of, piri, Léa Sen, LEILAH, and Nakamura Minami. Karma Kid was the executive producer. In 2023, the label had already released the EP Shield on Technicolour, featuring Wait For It, Peach alongside Sammy Virji, and salute's first self-vocals; the work earned a nomination at the 2024 MOBO Awards for Best Electronic/Dance Act. In 2025 came fabric presents salute, a mix that summarizes loop house, dense chords, and polished drums.

British garage, French house, and a thread of soul

The sound moves between UK garage, bright keyboard house, and the shimmer of 2000s French house, with a constant sediment of soul and R&B. Joy was released on Signal >> Supply, Atlantic's dance label, and Ultra Pool (2022) landed on Steel City Dance Discs. The Condition trilogy (2018-2019, 37 Adventures), written after the death of their grandparents, marked the turn towards the dancefloor: Honey became one of the most-listened-to tracks and JTS was Annie Mac's Hottest Record. The 2022 Melbourne Boiler Room surpassed one million views and remains the most iconic session.

From Aspern to the international scene

Born in Aspern, Vienna, into a family of Nigerian origin that had passed through Belgrade, salute started producing at thirteen with FL Studio, pushed by video game soundtracks and by Rustie or Hudson Mohawke. Teenage remixes of Aaliyah (Rock the Boat) and Sam Smith (Money on My Mind) opened doors; the Lionheart EP was released in 2013. In 2014, they moved to Brighton to study production and, in 2016, to Manchester, which was cheaper and more fertile, with clubs like Soup Kitchen. There are sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Field Day, and All Points East, and an inclusion rider that demands artists from underrepresented groups on the lineup. In Manchester, they are already working in their own studio, two minutes from home, with five-hour sets or longer as a natural format.
