From the jungle and expansive aesthetic of Zamna Festival, Zamna Soundsystem functions as a booth extension of the universe created around the event. The collective brings together Gigi Urso, Sean Sammut, known artistically as The Element, and Andrea Arcangeli, a figure associated with Armonica, with a work base linked to Italy and Malta and an international projection built from Tulum towards large-format clubs and festivals. Their format is flexible: in their performances, two or three members can appear, a structure that allows them to adapt to tours, showcases, and brand gatherings without losing a consistent musical direction.
Melody, tension, and festival architecture
Their sound moves between melodic techno, melodic house, house, and techno with a hypnotic vocation. The sessions usually rely on long progressions, precise percussion, deep basslines, and a cinematic sense of tension, closer to a festival journey than the quick impact of a conventional club set. This approach connects with the identity of Zamna: nocturnal atmospheres, measured construction, large-scale melodies, and a reading of the dance floor that leaves space for both emotion and physical energy.
A catalog connected to Zamna Records
The project's recording activity was consolidated in 2024 with material linked to Zamna Records, including Don’t Call, included in Soundscapes, and the EP Lift Me Up with Laherte, featuring Lift Me Up and Losing My Mind. That same period reinforced their visibility with Summertime Sadness with Rozyo and Armonica and with the reinterpretation of Satisfaction by Benny Benassi, The Biz, and Andro, released by Ultra. In 2025, they expanded their presence with Horizon EP with Stylo, Eli & Dani, and with Universe with Korolova, in addition to collaborations and remixes that bring their name closer to melodic house, melodic techno, and afro house circuits, such as Kumeleli with MoBlack and Oluhle or The Future with Benny Benassi and Laherte.
From Tulum to the international circuit
Zamna Soundsystem has integrated naturally into the international programming of the Zamna brand and into reference spaces of contemporary electronic music. Their public history includes presence at Zamna Tulum, Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa Ibiza, dates in Barcelona, New York, Thailand, and other destinations, in addition to appearances associated with festivals such as SXM Festival and Hibernation. The recording of their set for ARTE Concert at the Zurich Street Parade 2025 summarizes their current position well: a collective conceived as a sonic ambassador for Zamna, capable of transferring a festival aesthetic to urban stages, rooftops, large clubs, and open-air celebrations.
