Badajoz will premiere Baila House on September 12th

The first edition will bring together great figures of international house such as David Penn, Marco Lys, Mona Lee, Piem and some of the main Extremaduran DJs.

A new meeting point in the Iberian southwest

The Auditorio Recinto Ferial de Badajoz will host the first edition of Baila House on September 12th, a new festival dedicated to house music that is born with the ambition of becoming the great meeting point for the genre in the Iberian southwest. Conceived as a one-day experience and with an expected attendance of 6,000 people, the event is committed to a careful and sustainable format that combines electronic music, signature gastronomy, Extremaduran culture and state-of-the-art audiovisual production.

Thanks to its strategic location, just a few kilometers from the Portuguese border, Baila House is born with a clear cross-border vocation to attract audiences from Spain and Portugal and consolidate itself as one of the great house music events in the southwest of the peninsula.

A top-tier international lineup

For its premiere, Baila House will bring together some of the most prominent names in international house in a lineup that combines established references and artists with great projection. David Penn and Marco Lys lead a program that brings together two reference trajectories within the electronic scene. While Penn is considered the Spanish house producer with the greatest international recognition and historical number one in the Beatport House Artist ranking, with regular performances in booths such as Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa, Pacha, Amnesia or Café Mambo, Marco Lys has established himself as one of the great European exponents of house and tech house after more than two decades of career, performing on stages of international prestige such as Tomorrowland, Space Miami, Ministry of Sound or Amnesia Ibiza, in addition to having the support of artists such as Fisher, Green Velvet, Honey Dijon or Chris Lake. Both represent two of the most solid and influential figures of contemporary house.

The Badajoz event will also feature the Belgian DJ, producer and vocalist Mona Lee, whose fusion of house and disco has taken her to stages such as Tomorrowland, Sisyphos, Rex Club, UNVRS or Pacha Ibiza; and the Catalan PIEM, one of the essential names in the Spanish house scene, a regular in clubs such as Hï Ibiza, Amnesia, Pacha Ibiza, Space Miami and Sónar, with productions released on labels such as DFTD, Ministry of Sound or Crosstown Rebels and regular support from BBC Radio 1.
