The industrial rebirth of Ostrava hosts Beats for Love 2026

Recently, the Czech festival Beats for Love has unveiled its full lineup for the 2026 edition, solidifying its position as the largest electronic music event in Central Europe. Scheduled from July 1st to 4th at the imposing industrial complex of Dolní Vítkovice in Ostrava, the event will bring together more than 550 artists across 18 stages. This year's offering covers more than 25 subgenres, from mainstage anthems to the deepest branches of underground techno and drum and bass.

Charlotte de Witte: The crown of underground techno

The underground scene will be strongly represented by figures of the stature of Charlotte de Witte, who will share the top billing of the event. The Belgian producer, founder of the influential label KNTXT, has established herself as one of the most acclaimed exponents of the international circuit. After making history in 2022 by becoming the first woman and techno artist to close the main stage of Tomorrowland, her arrival in Ostrava promises to be one of the most cathartic moments of the weekend.

With a sound characterized by its dark atmospheres, acid synthesis, and an implacable groove, de Witte will present a set designed to resonate among the imposing steel structures of the Love by ČSOB stage. Signature tracks from her discography, such as "Doppler" or "Apollo," are expected to rumble before tens of thousands of attendees devoted to the most purist clubbing.

Beyond the forcefulness of techno, Beats for Love 2026 has ensured a millimeter balance in its programming. Global talent is led by the Scotsman Calvin Harris, which represents a historic milestone in the festival's booking, given that the creator of global hits rarely tours the European continent.

Technically, the production of this edition will scale to unprecedented levels. The organization has confirmed the expansion of the "Beats for Love Universe" visual concept, a scenographic design that divides the venue into four immersive zones: Love Sphere, Space Sphere, and Industrial Sphere, all interconnected by a central artery called Pulse.

The Dolní Vítkovice venue, a former coal mine and iron refinery, gives the festival an unmatched aesthetic identity. After reaching a record of 164,000 attendees in its 2025 edition, the festival not only boosts the economy of the Moravian-Silesian region but also maintains a strong social commitment through its charitable initiative, allocating funds to local institutions.
