The European clubbing landscape turns its gaze to the Netherlands following the recent announcement by the DGTL organization. The promoter has unveiled the full schedule for its imminent participation in the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2026. From October 22 to 25, the festival will deploy a total of eight large-format events, consolidating its presence in Amsterdam-Noord by taking simultaneous control of two top-tier industrial venues: the iconic NDSM Warehouse and the imposing Kromhouthal.

The curatorial strategy for this edition reflects an evident maturity, dividing the experiences between daytime showcases and nighttime marathons. For the first time in the history of its participation in ADE, the brand will move its acclaimed Generator stage to an indoor format during the day, while the night sessions will remain under the shelter of the Frequency concept, establishing two diametrically opposed but complementary atmospheres in the electronic ecosystem.

Sonic deployment: From UK Garage to Melodic Techno

The opening day on Thursday, October 22, will set the tone for the weekend with a head-on collision of genres. In the Generator space, a new generation of selectors will take the controls, fusing trance, hard house, and progressive rhythms with emerging names like Benwal, Helena Lauwaert, Lammer, Paige Tomlinson, and Olive Anguz. In parallel, the Frequency proposal will pay tribute to British sound system culture, offering a pure dose of UK garage and bass music led by veterans like DJ EZ, accompanied in the booth by Dr Dubplate, Locky, and MPH.

On Friday, October 23, the NDSM Warehouse will witness an extensive live format by the Dutch duo Tinlicker, who will feature special guests. As night falls, the sonic spectrum will mutate toward the introspection and groove of melodic techno and progressive house. The nighttime lineup presents a roster of heavyweights of analog synthesis that includes Joris Voorn, Kevin de Vries, Miss Monique, Nicky Elisabeth, and an immersive live set by the French producer NTO.

Auteur curation and 'No Phone' policies at Kromhouthal

The weekend will introduce unprecedented auteur dynamics to the festival. On Saturday, South African DJ and producer Shimza will debut as curator of his own DGTL event, supported by figures of the stature of Âme DJ, Desiree, Bedouin, Arodes, and Stoffela, guaranteeing a journey through organic percussion and afro house. The transition to the night will drastically raise the BPM with the takeover by Novah & Friends, a space dedicated to fast-paced techno and contemporary rave culture with artists like Ciara Cuvé, Øtta, EMILIJA, and Faster Horses.

In parallel, the expansion to the Kromhouthal venue will provide two daytime appointments that promise to alter the usual dynamics of ADE. On Saturday, Lane 8's This Never Happened label will impose its strict "no phones" policy, fostering uninterrupted connection on the dance floor alongside Yotto, Mees Salomé, Sultan + Shepard, Kasbo, and Ashibah. On Sunday, the definitive closing will be handled by the charismatic French artist Folamour, who will perform an exclusive All Day Long set, surfing between disco, funk, soul, and classic house music.

DGTL's decision to diversify its offering through eight themed shows underscores a palpable evolution in the European festival industry.
