Electronic music has always been at the heart of the Swiss natural energy drink brand El Tony Mate. Through El Tony Culture Collective, the brand develops projects aimed at supporting the electronic music scene. As part of this initiative, El Tony Mate Producer Academy Ibiza returns for its second edition, offering eight emerging electronic music producers the opportunity to learn alongside mentors SKALA and Kid Simius.

Following the success of the first edition, which brought together young talents to create music, share ideas, and build lasting connections, the academy returns with the goal of boosting the next generation of electronic music producers. With the support of Beatport, the El Tony Mate Producer Academy gives emerging producers the chance to learn from experienced professionals, meet other artists, and spend a week creating music together.

The Challenge: How to participate?

To secure a spot in the 2026 edition, participants must create a remix or an original track using the exclusive sample and stem packs provided by mentors SKALA and Kid Simius.

The deadline to submit applications is August 23. The proposals will be evaluated by the mentors, the El Tony Mate team, and Beatport, who will select the eight winners to participate in the academy.

The Prize: A week of immersion in Ibiza

The eight selected producers, from any European country, will enjoy an intensive music production course on the iconic island of Ibiza, from October 1 to 7, 2026.

Meet the mentors: SKALA and Kid Simius

SKALA, DJ, producer, vocalist, and founder of the Amaeo label, based in Berlin, combines organic percussion, glitch elements, synthesizers, powerful basslines, and ethereal melodies. Her productions have reached the top of Beatport charts and have become a reference within contemporary electronica.

Kid Simius, producer, DJ, and composer based in Berlin, is known for his ability to fuse electronica, house, techno, and organic sounds with a distinct artistic personality. His work stands out for its creativity and versatility, which has made him one of the most respected producers in the European scene.

With a presence in the Beatport Top 50 in the Melodic Techno/Electronica category, his international reach includes performances at Off Sonar, Klein Phoenix (Istanbul), Electric Brixton (London), as well as tours in India, Central America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Kid Simius is one of the great Spanish references of Italo House, Balearic House, and Disco. DJ, producer, live artist, and founder of the Jirafa Records label, he has accumulated more than 36 million streams on his ten most-played songs on Spotify. He has released music on numerous labels, including Watergate, and has a platinum record in his career. He has performed at festivals such as Sónar, Tomorrowland, Fusion, and Blitz, in addition to participating in more than 30 international festivals last year, sharing the stage with artists such as Kerri Chandler, DJ Tennis, and Bonobo, among others.
