Renowned Haitian DJ, producer, and cultural creator Francis Mercier releases his long-awaited debut album, Lakay (Home), today via his own label, Solèy. Comprising 20 tracks, this work represents the most ambitious and personal project of his career to date, exploring the meaning of home through a rich tapestry of sounds, stories, and collaborations inspired by his travels around the world.

A journey back to his roots

Titled with the Haitian Creole word meaning "home," Lakay (Home) represents both a return to Mercier's roots and a tribute to all the people and places that have welcomed him throughout his journey. Inspired by Haiti, Africa, the Middle East, and other corners of the planet, the album fuses organic rhythms, contemporary electronic production, and diverse musical traditions to shape a sound that is deeply personal yet universal.
