And finally, the great protagonist of this event, Francis Mercier. This artist grew up in Haiti listening to house music classics, but it wasn't until he landed in New York that he caught the electronic music bug and decided to start a career that has brought him to where he is today. His style is world music, with influences from different cultures presented in a house music format. Francis has produced records with African flavor, Brazilian flavor, with Brazilian vocalists, African vocalists, and vocalists from the USA; music that is about "the journey" and making the listener travel and feel as if they were in different places at the same time.
