The leap from Cullera to the capital
Medusa Festival, the electronic titan of the Valencian coast, has recently confirmed its expansion to the center of the peninsula. Officially christened Blizzard: The City of Ice, this new 100% winter and indoor concept will take over the IFEMA Madrid exhibition center next Saturday, December 5, 2026.
Far from the 180,000 clubbers it usually gathers during the summer on the beach of Cullera, this Madrid venture will limit its capacity to 9,000 attendees. The promoter's goal is to offer an immersive and intimate experience, guaranteeing the audience's comfort without sacrificing the visual essence of its super-productions.
Technical deployment and secrecy regarding the line-up
Through its corporate channels and its new social media division, the organization has guaranteed that the festival's aesthetic DNA will travel intact. The Madrid audience will witness a colossal stage design, accompanied by high-impact pyrotechnics, state-of-the-art lasers, and its now-iconic drone show.
For the moment, the artistic lineup remains under strict confidentiality. Although the headliners have not been revealed, it has been confirmed that the dance floor will vibrate with techno, house, hardstyle, and EDM. Pre-registration to access the first promotional tickets will be enabled in the coming weeks.
The conquest of the winter market
This move underscores Medusa's ambition to de-seasonalize its brand. Following the resounding sold out of its satellite event in the snows of Formigal, the foray into Madrid consolidates a clear strategy: to dominate the national electronic circuit throughout the twelve months of the year, reaching out directly to a capital city audience that represents one of its largest market shares.
