The consolidation of an electronic sanctuary in Braga

The European electronic scene continues its expansion into enclaves where nature and sonic avant-garde converge organically. In this context, the Nómadas Festival has recently announced the first wave of confirmations for its fifth edition, scheduled for July 3, 4, and 5, 2026. The event, which will be held at the imposing Pedreira do Monte Castro, an old granite quarry located in Braga (Portugal), promises to bring together thousands of attendees throughout its weekend, consolidating itself as one of the essential dates on the Iberian Peninsula's festival circuit.

After celebrating two successful consecutive editions during 2025—in June and September—which brought together more than 30,000 international clubbing lovers, the organization has decided to commit to a single massive event for 2026, raising the standards of production and musical curation.

First wave of confirmations: From melodic techno to afro house

The artistic direction has unveiled a top-tier lineup that covers diverse branches of contemporary club music. Leading this first advance are heavyweights of the global industry. The Swiss duo Adriatique will bring their characteristic sound focused on cinematic melodic techno, while the acclaimed Brazilian artist Mochakk will inject his unmistakable energy and groove into the dance floor. Joining them is the technical mastery of ÂME DJ, a key figure of the influential label Innervisions, who will guarantee a session of deep electronic synthesis.

The initial line-up also highlights the presence of highly anticipated 'back-to-back' acts, such as the Brazilian duo Maz b2b Antdot, exponents of current afro house, as well as the emerging talent of the French producer Rivo. To complement the proposal, the festival has confirmed a large representation of selectors:

Structural expansion: New stage and record capacity

The organic growth of the event has forced the promoter to redesign its infrastructure for this imminent edition. The main technical novelty is the expansion of the capacity to 8,500 people per day and the inauguration of a second sound space: the Cupra Stage. This new stage will coexist with the imposing Quarry Main Stage, allowing for a greater diversity of BPMs and accommodating emerging talent from the circuit.

The days of Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, will extend their uninterrupted programming from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM, while the Sunday closing on July 5 will conclude at midnight. The public's support has been resounding following this announcement: general passes and individual tickets for Saturday are already completely sold out, with only passes available for Friday and Sunday.

The acoustic resignification of industrial heritage

The choice of an old stone quarry as the epicenter of clubbing underscores an upward trend within the European festival ecosystem: the reuse of abandoned industrial or natural spaces. The acoustics generated by the monumental granite walls and the careful architectural lighting design turn the event into an immersive experience that transcends the classic dance floor.
