A warehouse that refuses to be a nightclub

At Roseti 93, the night doesn't start in a selective door queue but in a 540 m² warehouse in the Audiovisual District, designed as a laboratory for digital art, technology, and music. Gonzalo Solimano, a DJ since the 90s and founder of the platform in 2015, opened this venue to the public on March 3, 2022. He places it closer to a museum than a nightclub: a space where you eat, watch, and end up dancing. In 2023, the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires declared its activities of cultural interest.

From creative network to physical venue

Before planting its flag in Chacarita, Artlab had promoted the electronic music and digital art space at the Centro Cultural Kirchner in 2016 and, since 2017, has produced MUTEK.AR, the Argentine edition of the international digital creativity festival. The leap to its own premises consolidated artistic residencies, an electronic arts gallery, a listening bar, and a hybrid audio and video room. The usual route crosses the exhibition and the bar before entering the room: the building is designed so that listening and imagery share the same night.

The HiFi Room and the cult of detail

In 2025, the HiFi Room reorganized the venue's sonic narrative. The core is a quadraphonic system of restored Altec Lansing A7 horn speakers—The Voice of the Theatre—with McIntosh tube amplification and a large-format LED screen. There, entire albums are listened to, jazz concerts are presented, and house music is danced to with the same demand for fidelity. The Círculo de Sonido dance floor, on Fridays, places a stage at the audience's level and treats dancing as a high-definition experience, not as an appendix to the exhibition.

A program that changes every week

The venue does not operate with a single club ritual. Depending on the agenda, a Wednesday might be a jazz trio, a Friday Círculo de Sonido with local and international DJs, a Saturday a HiFi listening session, and a Sunday a video club screening. Solimano summarizes the spirit: you don't always know what will be happening, but something is always happening. That unpredictability, sustained by a small team and a network of institutional alliances, is today the venue's hallmark: a nighttime laboratory where electronic music, performance, and digital art share the same warehouse.
