A jungle dance floor made to festival scale

Between palm trees, white canvas structures and a dance floor designed for crowded nights, Greenvalley has built an identity unusual within global clubbing: that of an electronic music venue that functions as a club, but breathes like a permanent festival. Its location in Rio Pequeno, in Camboriú, takes it away from the urban format of a basement or industrial warehouse and places it in a green environment in Santa Catarina where open architecture, vegetation and audiovisual production are part of the experience. The result is a large-capacity hall with an international vocation, recognizable by its main stage, its large crowds and an atmosphere in which the Brazilian night mixes with the large-format club aesthetic.

From a tent at an airfield to the world podium

The history of the venue starts in 2007, when a first big rave at an old airfield, with a temporary tent and Carl Cox as the central attraction, paved the way for what would later be consolidated as a stable club. From that base, Greenvalley was adding infrastructure, programming and its own narrative until it became one of the most visible spaces in the Brazilian electronic scene. Its relationship with the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs ranking has been especially significant: it has been chosen number 1 in the world on five occasions and has remained for years on the international podium, a milestone that made it a global showcase for Brazil's dance floor culture.

A programming between superclub and local scene

The artistic line moves between house, tech house, melodic techno, progressive and the more crossover areas of large-stage electronics. Names like Peggy Gou, Michael Bibi, ANOTR, Korolova, John Summit, Vintage Culture, Alok, Mochakk, Boris Brejcha or Eric Prydz have passed through its booth, along with a constant presence of Brazilian and Latin American DJs. That mix has allowed the club to sustain a double reading: on the one hand, it is a destination for major international tours; on the other, it operates as a platform for an increasingly exportable national scene, with local audiences, musical tourism and an agenda linked to summer seasons, holidays and special dates.

Reconstruction, scale and dance floor culture

The 2020 cyclone severely damaged the venue at a time already conditioned by the global closure of nightlife activity. The subsequent stage reinforced the story of reconstruction: the club returned with changes to the main stage, VIP and backstage areas, improvements in lighting, visuals and distribution, maintaining its idea of an open, massive and immersive space. Today its operation depends on variable programming and large events, rather than a conventional weekly opening. That condition does not weaken its physical club profile; on the contrary, it underlines a very specific formula: a club culture based on high-impact production, tropical landscape, large-format sound and a community that understands each appointment as a collective celebration in the valley.
