Friday at 23:59 on the river

On Fridays, when the clock strikes 23:59, Club Morocco fills up again in the Costa Salguero strip, in Palermo. It is not the Morocco of the nineties: that venue on Hipólito Yrigoyen closed in 2001 and did not reopen. This Costanera Norte venue, on the banks of the Río de la Plata, is another physical space, designed for the contemporary electronic night of Buenos Aires.

The dance floor identity is marked by house and tech house, with a habitual drift towards progressive. The 2GTHR cycle has documented sessions at the club by Tinlicker, Richy Ahmed, Giorgia Angiuli, James Zabiela, Calussa, or Nacho Scoppa, with the Festa Bros duo and local names like Anhauser and Matías Sundblad back in the booth. The official lineups place part of the party on the terrace and the ticket agencies announce VIP tables. The Costanera corridor provides parking and an arrival via Rafael Obligado Avenue, far from the metro and attached to the fairgrounds.

The other Saturday night

The venue does not live on a single label. On Saturdays, it takes on another temperature with Nilo, a cachengue cycle with table reservations, different from the Friday electronics. That double programming—house club one day, urban party the next—defines the real use of the venue: a Costa Salguero space that hosts brands and cycles, not a nightclub with a single eternal resident.

It is still underway. In the agendas, it appears as Morocco Costanera; on the map, as 2GTHR Club Morocco (Friday); on the tickets, as Club Morocco. The usual opening is at 23:59, with a variable calendar according to the date. The public arrives by taxi, in their own vehicle, or on the buses that travel along the coast. What is clear is the geography: Palermo, Costanera, a step away from the fair complex and the river, in the corridor of nightclubs that Buenos Aires reserves for the big night.
