The last sunset of 2016 over Tzanjuyú

In the private bay of Tzanjuyú, the end of 2016 coincided with the official inauguration of Azul Rosa: three days of dance floor, cocktails, and sunset ceremony facing the volcanoes of Lake Atitlán. It was not presented as a traveling brand, but as a beach café and social club with its own venue, one minute from the main pier of Panajachel, with a bamboo entrance and water's edge. The first Caldera Club Festival NYE 17 was held there, promoted together with Solemne, Pobrecita, Kinima, and Oscuro: live DJs, boat party, and a program designed so that electronic music could be heard with the lake as a stage.

A year later, the venue celebrated its first anniversary with the second edition of Caldera Club. That continuity —the same pier, the same venue, a meeting that returns every December— makes it clear that Azul Rosa was born to stay on Calle del Embarcadero, not to be a nomadic party.

Fabio, Sonido Moderna, and the electronic shore

The club was founded by Fabio Me Llaman Soltero and Don Ipanema Boi. Fabio, also co-founder of the collective Sonido Moderna, has linked Atitlán to a scene that mixes techno, disco, house, and experimentation. The venue itself is presented as a beach café and social club developed by Solemne.

By day, it functions as a lakeside beach bar: sun loungers, private mini beach, paddle surfing on the pier, atmosphere for families and dogs, seasonal fruit cocktails, and the view of the three volcanoes. At sunset, the pressure rises. From Thursday to the weekend, it is the clearest electronic music spot in Panajachel, with local and international DJs —Martha van Straaten and M.Rux have passed through that booth— and an upstairs bar that opens when the dance floor demands it. Next to the shore operates Besito, a restaurant associated with the same terrace.

Two dance floors, the Termómetro, and nine years of Caldera

In the change from 2025 to 2026, Azul Rosa celebrated nine years with the tenth edition of Caldera Club: five days, from December 26 to January 1, with Olsvanger, Omaar, Baum, the Mexican collective Gaptooth, and Galaxia Casablanca. There were two boat parties aboard the Termómetro, the boat that the project wants to turn into the country's first floating electronic club. The ecosystem brings together two dance floors, a hostel, and satellite culinary projects. During the week, it remains a bar facing the pier; on the weekend, an open-air nightclub. That double life —beach by day, dance floor by night— is what has sustained the venue since that inauguration in Tzanjuyú.
