A venue stuck in the canopy of Mombacho

You don't enter through a street of bars: you ascend about 250 meters up the slope of the Mombacho volcano, between a dirt path and the humidity of the cloud forest. Above, the venue is supported by wood, palm roofs, and a suspension bridge that crosses the canopy. Three treehouses, walkways, and open platforms overlook the jungle. Every Friday, the hammocks disappear, the Main Stage is turned on, and the hostel is renamed Club Treehouse.

Sixteen years of house, community, and dance floor

The physical venue of Treehouse Nicaragua has been standing for more than sixteen years. It has been a party hostel, a place of silence in hard times, and a home for travelers, always with a Nicaraguan team that sustains the day-to-day. Since 2015, the brand—led and owned primarily by women—has put the bond with the neighborhood and the jungle ahead of tourist extractivism. In 2025, TREEHOUSE X CONCRET started, designed for tours and for Treehouse Records, without moving the operational heart of Granada.

Techno and house until three

The weekly event runs from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The editorial line moves between techno and house, with space for electro, UK bass, or drum and bass, and with local and guest DJs. The Treehouse Festival in March—several stages, chill zones, and two days—is the peak of the calendar; there is also New Year's Eve and Pride parties in June. The dance floors are smoke-free, the bar is cash-only, there is no cloakroom, and there is no re-entry. Those who stay during the week find yoga, community visits, and a rustic hostel rhythm: outdoor showers, ecological toilets, and vegetarian food.

Rainy season and a Friday that changes everything

It is not a nightclub in the colonial center: it is about twenty minutes away, on the Granada-Nandaime Highway, with parking below and a walk up. In the rainy season, the venue closes and marks the reopening with a specific Friday; in 2026, October 30. The rest of the year, the club exists when the jungle becomes a dance floor: traveling and international public, howler monkeys in the background, and a club culture that asks for respect for the space because, literally, it is a house.
